In the first quarter of 2010 Russia’s refineries produced 17.5 million tons of residual fuel oil, a 6.9% gain from the same period last year, Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said. The volume of diesel fuel in Jan.-Mar., 2010 increased by 2.7% vs Q1, 2009, to 17.4 million tons.
Overall, in Jan.-Mar. the refineries received 60.6 million tons of crude oil, 4.3% more then in Q1,09.
