Port of Singapore’s cargo volume grows 2.2% to 82,15 m tons

Trade flows passing through the port of Singapore in Jan-Feb 2011 increased by 2.2% from the same period of 2010, to 82,15 million tons, the Singapore Port Authority press release said.

 

In the reporting period crude oil shipments declined by 2%, while container traffic increased by 1% to 4,56 million TEUs.

Singapore is a city-state located on an island in Southeast Asia. Cargo throughput of the port in 2010 totaled 502 million tons.
