Huntsman Holland opens MDI splitter in Rotterdam

This morning, Huntsman Holland opened its new MDI-splitter. Present were some  200 guests, including members of the Huntsman family from the USA, said in the company's press release.

The company invested investing $135m (€104m) into its world-scale methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) production facilities in Geismar (USA) and Rotterdam. At the Rotterdam facility, Huntsman commissioned a new MDI splitter and downstream specialties manufacturing unit that the company said will enable it to serve customers with next-generation polyurethane products for automobiles, adhesives, coatings and other applications. The unit is designed to handle globally sourced MDI precursor.
