The Government has published its White Paper on customs, setting out its ‘Vision for a modern customs framework’ which will update much of the UK’s aging customs arrangements, British Ports Association said in its press release.
In the detail, the document suggests that under a no-deal Brexit scenario the impact is likely to be felt worst at ferry and ro-ro ports.
However it also suggests that where possible, border checks would be carried out as much as possible (in land).
