Under the project on reconstruction and modernization of Multipurpose Terminal “Yug-2” (the port of Ust-Luga), Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga JSC acquired a rubber-tyred mobile harbour crane, the Liebherr LHM 420, says press center of CSP Ust-Luga.

The three-party contract between CSP Ust-Luga JSC, Liebherr Rusland LLC and LH Financial Services LLC was signed as part of the business programme of the TransRussia exhibition in Moscow by Yevgeny Savkin, Director General, Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga JSC; German Ignatov, Sales Director, Liebherr Rusland LLC and Nikolay Ilyukhin, sales representative,  LH Financial Services LLC.

The crane will be delivered to the port by mid-July 2018. The contract was signed with financing raised through leasing (lessor - LH Financial Services LLC).

The LHM 420 is designed for efficient handling of different types of cargo. It features outstanding mobility and maneuverability with a possibility to move longitudinally, diagonally, and even slewing on the spot.

“This crane meets all modern requirements having proved its high efficiency both in Russian ports and internationally. The leasing mechanism allows for optimization of our expenses and lets us chose the most advanced model”, said Yevgeny Savkin.

“We have been working in the Russian port market for more than a decade. It enables us to make the most interesting offers to our clients and to ensure uninterrupted high-class maintenance of our equipment throughout many years”, said German Ignatov.

The project on reconstruction and modernization of Multipurpose Terminal “Yug-2” (the port of Ust-Luga) is intended to increase the terminal’s annual capacity to 20 million tonnes by 2020. It provides for construction of three new facilities for transshipment of coal, mineral fertilizers and general cargo.

Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga OJSC is a stevedoring company operating Multipurpose Terminal YUG-2 and Auto-Railway Ferry Terminal. In 2017, the terminals handled 3.8 million tonnes of cargo.
