Container throughput of port Hong Kong (China) down 5.4% to 16.3 million TEUs in Jan-Oct’18

In January-October 2018, port Hong Kong (China) handled 16.3 million TEUs (-5.4%, year-on-year).

According to the port authority, the port’s largest terminal Kwai Tsing handled to 12.83 million TEUs (-5.2%), other terminals handled 3.46 million TEUs (-6.4%).

Port Hong Kong is one of the world’s largest ports. It is capable of handling 456,000 vessels per year. In 2017, the port’s container throughput hit 20.75 million TEUs.
