Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., South Korea's leading shipping line by gross tonnage, said Sunday it plans to open new Asia-U.S. services in the coming months.
The company, together with France's CMA-CGM, will add eight 3,500-3,800 TEU containers starting next month on a new route between Asia and the eastern coast of the United States, the Seoul-based shipper said. TEU stands for 20-foot equivalent unit.
