Handling of the ports of Murmansk region up 2% in Jan.-Apr. 07, y-o-y

In January-April 2007, commercial seaports of Murmansk handled 7.224 million tons of cargo (+2%, year-on-year), PRIME-TASS reports according to murman.ru. Transshipment of export cargo fell by 0.3% to 6.661 million tons, transshipment of coastal-trade cargo grew by 44.6% to 528.1 thou tons. Import up 28.7% to 28.2 thou tons.

The largest commercial seaports of Murmansk region are Commercial Seaport of Murmansk OJSC and Kandalaksha Commercial Seaport OJSC.
