Arktisk Maritim Klynge (AMK, the Arctic Maritime Cluster)

The Arctic Maritime Cluster (AMK, arena-amk.no), established with the support of the Norwegian Government as part of ARENA networking program managed by Innovation Norway. AMK aims to become the leading maritime cluster in Norway focusing on arctic operations. Maritimt Forum Nord is the project owner. Transportutvikling AS is a project manager for AMK.

The main strategic goal for AMK is to position players/partners as preferred suppliers coming to arctic maritime technologies and operations in Norwegian and international arctic markets. At this moment Arctic Maritime Cluster” mobilizes the industrial, technological and scientific potential of 46 companies and organizations of Northern Norway’s maritime sector who are ready to cooperate to find solutions to the most difficult cold-climate challenges.

As part of their internationalization strategy, the AMK members Hamek AS, NSK Ship Design, Barents Maritime AS, Nor Supply Offshore AS and Transportutvikling AS decided to join their efforts on the Russian market. These companies represent different maritime activities but are equally interested in establishing business ties with Russian partners.
