 “Port News”  Information Agency (www.en.portnews.ru) have founded the Club of the journalists of transport complex.

          The Club is founded to provide the top-quality publications and information exchange of the high-level professionals of transport media community. The Club members will work towards the increase of the role of the media in the service for transport market in order to assist in the development of transport infrastructure, transport investment projects and to achieve the increase of national transport prestige and public publicity in the International information space

         The Club have been founded by the journalist, who cooperate wit the leading media-sources and information agencies as: “Interfax”, “ITAR-TASS”, “Prime-TASS”, “RIA-Novosty”, “Argus”, “Reuters”, “Regnum”, “Kommersant”, “ Vedomosty”, “RBC-Daily”, ‘Russian Newspaper” ( official publication of the Government of RF), “Expert”

         Mrs. N. Malysheva, Chief-Editor of the “Port News” agency was elected as the Club President.     

        The Club warmly welcomes all International press representatives, who come to the exhibition and conference, to join the Club session on the free basis to discuss possible cooperation and possible Club membership

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping Baltic Branch Office
A classification society the Russian Register was established on 31 December 1913 as a result of the many years' experience in the sphere of technical supervision of ships. In 1923 the Russian Register was renamed the Register of the Soviet Union, thereafter - Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS). Since 1969 RS has been a member of International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).
Main objectives:
• providing safety of life at sea;
• providing safe navigation of ships;
• safe carriage of goods by sea and in inland waters;
• promoting environmental protection.
To ensure this, RS developes and upgrades its Rules on the basis of comprehensive research work as well as the requirements of International Conventions and Codes.
Since 1993 RS has been maintaining the internal quality management system developed in compliance with ISO 9001. The RS quality management system is certified by IACS, RF Gosstandart, the Ukraine Gosstandart. Since 1999 RS has been the organization recognized by the European Union and acting in accordance with Council Directive 94/57/EC and EN 45004.
