Singapore Maritime Technology Conference (SMTC)

Organized by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the Singapore Maritime Technology Conference (SMTC 2017) is a highlight event of the Singapore Maritime Week. It showcases maritime innovation projects, upcoming technologies, and sustainable solutions for ship owners and ports to be efficient and stay ahead of competition.
Mrs. Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of Transport Singapore will be gracing the event as the Guest of Honour. This year will also feature insights from industry forerunners on topical issues, with an opening keynote Envisioning a New Future for the Maritime Industry by Mr Pierre Sames, Group Technology Director of DNV GL.
He will be joined by speakers from established ship owners such as:

The industry track for SMTC 2017 (2nd Singapore Maritime Technology Conference) will include discussions on the Digital Revolution, Connected Ships, Green Shipping and Clean Fuel Systems, Transforming Ports and Logistics, Cyber Security, and Maritime Autonomous Systems. It will focus on leading port and maritime industry trends, technological developments, along with industry applications, case studies and round table discussions.

As for the technical track (5th International Port-Maritime Technology Conference), it will cover topics on Green Shipping, Ocean Space Technologies, Smart Shipping, and Ports of the Future. It provides technical coverage on international maritime science, technology and R&D, as well as the opportunity for R&D project owners to showcase projects and pitch for a grant.
