RTN to examine renovation project of a bulk cargo berth in Novorossiysk
The Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor, RTN) will hold a state ecological expertise of design documentation "Reconstruction and Modernization of the Pier N4 for handling liquid bulk cargo. Reconstruction of berths N25 and N25F on the Pier N4» (Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port). A relevant order has been issued establishing a 65-day period for the ecological expertise, the RTN statement said.
Last week NCSP Group announced it had a sublease agreement on additional sites for the construction of Novorossiysk fuel oil terminal worth 5bl rubles. The oil terminal with a capacity of 4 million tons a year is the Group’s priority project.
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group is the largest Russian port operator. The Group incorporates the following stevedores: Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC, Novorossiysk Grain Terminal OJSC, Novorossiysk Shipyard OJSC, NCSP Fleet OJSC, NovorosLesExport OJSC, IPP OJSC and Baltic Stevedoring Company. In 2009 the NCSP Group’s throughput amounted to 86.5 million tons.
