St. Petersburg hosts 3rd Russian bunker industry forum
III Russian Forum "Current Situation And Prospects Of Russian Market Of Bunkering Services" began its work in St. Petersburg, PortNews IAA correspondent reports.
The Organizer of the Forum - Russian Association of marine and river bunkering companies, the country's only public organization representing the interests of the industry. According to Vitaly Kovalev, the president of RosMorRechBunker, speaking at the opening of the forum, the Association most likely would become a self-regulatory organization.
The two-day forum agenda includes the industry performance, current issues of quality of bunker fuel in Russia, an overview of the Russian bunker market, questions of construction and renovation of small-tonnage tanker fleet, government subsidies for construction and modernization of ships, as well as issues of self-regulation in the bunker industry.
