Russian Govt may lift taxes, customs duty on equipment imported for Russian coal industry
The Russian government will consider the tax and customs duty exemption for equipment imported for the country’s coal industry, PRIME-TASS reports quoting Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the miners of Raspadskaya coal mine.
"This issue might be considered", said the Prime Minister during his meeting with the miners, adding that such a decision would mean that the problem of mines and its safety will be a matter of concern largely of the government.
At the same time, according to Vladimir Putin, the efficiency of the sector is now so high that it allows solving these issues at the expense of owners and stockholders of the mines.
"According to our estimates they are able to allocate more funds to increase the safety", Vladimir Putin said, adding, "I promise you that we will consider this question, too".
