Oleg Deripaska sells its Afipsky asset to NefteGazIndusty Group
The En + Group owned by a Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska, has cut a deal with Neftegazindustriya Group on the sale of Afipsky Refinery. The deal cost was not disclosed, Yuga.Ru agency reports.
"Afipsky Refinery is a promising asset, which is in good technical and financial condition and has great development potential. We will continue our investment program (nearly $2,5bn) at the plant, to increase the quantity and depth of processing, to start processing Urals crude», said Yuri Krymsky, Chairman of the Board of Neftegazindustriya adding that the company’s total necessary investments are estimated at about $2-2,5 billion.
Afipsky Refinery, based in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory, produces fuel oil, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene and exported process gasoline. The refinery is capable to process up to 3.6 million tons of crude oil a year, its processing volume in 2009 totaled 2.6 million tons.
