St. Petersburg Gov. to promote the construction of floating power plants in the city
St. Petersburg City Administration will be doing everything possible the construction of a series of floating power plants to be continued in the city, PortNews correspondent reports quoting St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matvienko, who was speaking at a ceremony of launching the Akademik Lomonosov floating power generating plant.
An earlier report said the head floating plant Academic Lomonosov had been launched recently at Baltiysk Shipyard (St. Petersburg) being currently under construction for Rosenergoatom Concern. The Akademik Lomonosov worth 16bn rubles will become the main element of the first floating nuclear power cogeneration plant (Russ., PATES) built ever.
