Mexico plans tenders for terminals at two ports
Mexico's transport and communications ministry will launch tenders for second container terminals at Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas ports this month, according to the Chilean website Mundo Marítimo.
The tender call for Manzanillo port (Colima state) will be made first, followed by the Lázaro Cárdenas port (Michoacán state) tender a week later.
The government expects the projects to meet growing demand for port infrastructure and services, due to increasing trade between Mexico and Asia.
