CMA CGM, MSC detail rejigged Asia-North Europe network
CMA CGM and Mediterranean Shipping Corp (MSC) have unveiled the reorganisation of its services on the Asia-North Europe trade from early April 2012, Seatrade Asia online reports.The world's second and third largest boxlines announced plans to cooperate on the Asia - Europe trade last week. The reorganised Asia-North Europe network will be covered by CMA CGM on the new FAL 1 loop with 11 vessels of 13,800-14,000 teu, the unchanged FAL 2, and the new FAL 3 with 11 vessels of 11,400 teu. MSC will operate on FAL 6 with 11 vessels of 14,000 teu, FAL 7 with 11 vessels of 14,000 teu. The FAL 9 loop will be jointly operated by CMA CGM and MSC with nine vessels of 9,500 teu. “The final port coverage and transit times will be confirmed as soon as possible,” CMA CGM said in a statement on Wednesday.
