Namsung orders three 1,850teu boxships for Southeast Asia trade
Korean-based Namsung Shipping has placed an order for construction of three 1,850-TEU ships with an a South Korean shipbuilding yard, whose name has not been disclosed. The container ships delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2013, Shippingazette reports.
The vessels will be deployed on its services in Southeast Asia to ply Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand to join its average-sized vessel of 1,000 TEU.
Founded in 1953, Namsung Shipping is the first private ocean carrier in Korea providing services to Japan, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand
