India's KPCT buys five quay cranes
Krishnapatnam Port Container Terminal (KPCT) has acquired five quay cranes that will be operational from May this year, Seatrade Asia online reports. The Indian port has acquired five super post-panamax quay cranes manufactured by Doosan with twin lift spreaders and an outreach of 22 rows.
“In anticipation of the growth in container volumes, yard facilities at KPCT are being developed from the current 2,000 ground slots to 4,500 by the end of this year. The yard equipment is also being supplemented by four rubber tyred gantry cranes,” KPCT said.
