Busan box volumes up 9.7% in January
South Korea's Busan port registered 1.36m teu of container throughput in January, according to figures from the Busan Port Authority (BPA), Seatrade Asia online reports. The January volumes improved 9.7% compared to 1.24m teu recorded in the same period of last year.
Month-on-month, box throughput dropped from 1.4m teu seen in December 2011.
In 2011, Busan handled 16.18m teu of throughput, achieving a 14% year-on-year growth from 14.19m teu in 2010.
