CH Offshore sells anchor handler for $30mln
CH Offshore has disposed a 2008-built offshore vessel for $30m to an Indonesian buyer, Seatrade Asia online reports. The deal was concluded last Friday between CH Offshore's wholly-owned subsidiary Garo as the seller and Bahtera Nusantara Indonesia as the buyer.
Bahtera Nusantara Indonesia is a joint venture company between Venture Offshore, another of CH Offshore's wholly-owned subsidiary, and Bahtera Niaga Internasional, which has secured a charter for the vessel Coral.
The sale of Coral, a 12,240 bhp anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel, will be handed over to Bahtera Nusantara Indonesia on 1 March 2012.
“On completion of the disposal of the vessel, the group will realise a gain of arroximately $3.85m, as the group has a 49% share in the buyer,” CH Offshore said in a statement.
Singapore-listed CH Offshore said the disposal is unlikely to have any material effect on the earnings of the company for the financial year ending 30 June 2012.
