Dongfang's finance director retires
Dongfang Shipbuilding’s finance director has become the latest senior executive to walk from the troubled Chinese shipyard, Seatrade Asia online reports. The London AIM-listed shipbuilder said on Monday its finance director, AKM Ismail had resigned with immediate effect to “pursue his other business interests”.
Ismail is the latest member of Dongfang’s board to step down following director Venkatesh Narayanaswamy at the beginning of the month and coo Sun Xiaoming in January. The financially-troubled group is undergoing a restructuring which could involve focusing its future business on its shipping operations in Singapore and Hong Kong.
