Vyborg Shipping Company claims for bankruptcy
On May 29, 2009, Vyborg Shipping Company, Ltd (VSC Ltd, St. Petersburg, part of OMG) asked Arbitrage Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region to acknowledge the company a bankrupt (case NА56-30810/2009).
The documents were registered on June 2, the proceedings are scheduled for July 3.
Vyborg Shipping Company, Ltd established by Oslo Marine Group, OMG) in 2007 owned three dry cargo carriers with displacement of 7,000 tonnes. They used to carry export mineral fertilizers. According to the media, the company has no vessels now as loans provided by St. Petersburg Bank and secured by the vessels were not returned by the company. No comments have been received from the bank yet.
OMG Kolpino loaded with Egypt fertilizers is arrested in the Ukraine port from March 2009. The crew is to return on June 4 and then the vessel is to be sold at a special auction. OMG Gatchina is in similarsituation. It was detained in La-Pallis port (France). Total debt of VSC to the crews is EUR 250,000.
