Throughput of Petersburg Oil Terminal up 2.1% to 4.8 mln t in Jan-May 09
In January-May 2009, Petersburg Oil Terminal CJSC handled 4.8 mln t of cargo (+2.1%, year-on-year), PortNews IAA learnt from the company. In May POT handled 1.071 million tonnes (+3%, year-on-year).
In the 5-month period, the terminal handled 3.4 million tonnes of dark oil products including (769,000 tonnes in May, which is 14,000 tonnes more as compared with May 08).
Petersburg Oil Terminal (POT) provides the services of transshipment and storage of oil products for export, as well as bunkering vessels. In addition, the company conducts quality analysis of oil products, and accepts and treats slops discharged from vessels calling at the Port of St. Petersburg. In 2008, the Terminal handled 11.8 t of oil products (+2.6%, year-on-year).
