New timber handling complex in Ukraine
Timber handling complex has been put into operation in the Nikolaevsky sea port in Ukraine. Its annual capacity is 0.7 mln tons. In future it is to grow to 3 mln tons.
The cost of the complex is approximately USD 10 mln. ICL-Ukraine and Global Wood Holding invested into the project. According to the participants’ estimations, the total volume of investments into the complex development may reach USD 40-50 million.
The complex is a unique object in Ukrainian harbours. It allows to handle raw hardwood, the length of which is up to 6 m., and diameter – up to 100 cm.
This year the complex is to handle 0.6 million tons of timber.
