Vladimir Putin says Russia should phase-out imports rapidly
Russia's industry must protect itself from contract default risks by foreign partners, including political risks, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting on imports substitution.
Russian President is confident that Russia is able to phase-out imports and produce domestically all necessary components while executing the state armaments program.
"It is necessary to ensure sustainable and timely delivery of parts and components, to closely monitor the quality," Putin was quoted as saying.
He stressed that it is "the key issues of military and economic security of Russia, of our technological and industrial independence, technological sovereignty."
