  Крейсер «Аврора» вернется на место «вечной стоянки» в Санкт-Петербурге в июле 2016 года

  Крейсер «Аврора», проходящий сейчас плановый ремонт, вернется в строй летом 2016 года и будет ошвартован на прежнем месте стоянки накануне Дня ВМФ России, сообщает пресс-служба Министерства обороны РФ. В 2015 году День ВМФ, отмечаемый ежегодно в последнее воскресенье июля, приходится на 26 число.
  
  По завершении ремонта на крейсере возобновится функционирование расширенных экспозиций филиала Центрального Военно-морского музея. Сегодня, 11 февраля 2015 года, в одном из залов Центрального военно-морского музея в Санкт-Петербурге, открылась выставка «Аврора» в истории Отечества», на которой представлены экспонаты с крейсера.
  
  Для корабля создан новый тематическо-экспозиционный план существенно обновленной экспозиции, которая пополнится почти сотней музейных предметов и будет существенно отличаться от ныне существующей. Шире в новой экспозиции будут представлены темы, связанные с историей кораблестроения, а также участием «Авроры» в Первой мировой войне.
  
  «Настало время рассматривать «Аврору» не только как символ Октябрьской революции, но и осмыслить роль крейсера в истории Отечества и российского ВМФ», — прокомментировал директор Центрального военно-морского музея Руслан Нехай.
