Odessa port is clear of ice

The Harbormaster of Odessa Commercial Sea Port (OCSP, Ukraine) announced the port ended up this year’s ice campaign from February 23rd, 2010. The harborage of the port has been cleared of the ice. The OCSP from midnight February 23 does not charge vessels the ice due.

The state-run Odessa Commercial Sea Port is one of the largest ports of the Black Sea-Azov basin. The OCSP is capable of handling more than 14 million tons of dry cargoes and 14 million tons of oil products a year. The throughput of Odessa port in 2009 fell by 19% as compared with 2008 - to 28.007 million tons.
