Vladivostok cargo turnover exceeds 1.11 million tons in the last 10-day February

Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VCSP) reports it has gained in volumes of commodities in the last ten days of February 2010. The port handled over 1.110.000 tons of cargoes. According to Sergei Lopunov, the production manager of VCSP the port shows a 117% growth in the monthly volumes plan for the end of February and up 85% from projected plan for the first quarter of this year. Mr. Lopunov said that steel products and coke exports added in the month volumes. Since the early this year the port has seen an increase in container traffic.

In January 2010, CPV handled 587.300 tons of commodities, a twofold rise over January 2009.

Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port JSC is in charge of portfolio of assets of Vladivostok seaport the largest in the Far East of Russia. The VCSP operates 17 berths facilities, including specialized - container, passenger, automobile. The port is included in the FESCO transport group. The 2009 throughput of the VCSP JSC increased by 4.9% compared with the previous year, up to 6 million 205.1 thousand tons.
