  В порту Силламяэ разгружено первое судно-автовоз Grande Italia

  Первого ноября 2006 года в порту Силламяэ было разгружено первое судно-автовоз "Grande Italia” длинной 176 метров и дедвейтом 13,5 тыс. тонн, принадлежащее компании Grimaldi Group. Об этом сообщает “РЖД-Партнер”. Судовая партия 3 196 автомобилей была разгружена оператором "ро-ро" терминала Silsteve со средней скоростью выгрузки 200 единиц в час. Все автомобили были доставлены из Европы для перевалки на российский рынок с промежуточным хранением на площадках терминала Silsteve в пределах Свободной таможенной зоны Силламяэ.

  Порт Силламяэ располагает двумя "ро-ро" рампами, каждая из которых имеет ширину 30 м. Рампы способны принимать самые крупные "ро-ро" суда, заходящие в Балтийское море. У причалов порта Силламяэ расположена площадка 15 тыс.кв.м для разгрузки судна. В дополнение к этому терминал Silsteve располагает складской площадкой 42 тыс.кв.м у моря для автомобилей и "ро-ро" техники. Сейчас уже подготавливаются и в ближайшем времени будут введены в строй дополнительные складские мощности общей территорией 100 тыс.кв.м.

  Порт Силламяэ является самым близким к России портом ЕС, расположенным в 25 км от границы России и ЕС в городе Силламяэ на северо-востоке Эстонии. Причальная глубина от 12 до 16 м позволяет принимать самые крупные суда, способные заходить в Балтийское море. Инфраструктура порта включает в себя железнодорожную станцию Силламяэ, маневровые железнодорожные пути и сеть автодорог, что позволяет эффективно переваливать грузы, следующие из ЕС на близлежащие рынки России и СНГ и наоборот. Сейчас в порту Силламяэ развивается и работает семь терминалов, переваливающих разные грузы от наливных (нефтепродуктов и жидкой химии) до "ро-ро" грузов. Статус Свободной таможенной зоны Силламяэ (освобождающий транзитные грузы от уплаты налогов) в совмещении с налоговым режимом Эстонии, наиболее либеральным в Европе, (0% корпоративного подоходного налога с реинвестированной прибыли) создают в порту Силламяэ все предпосылки для использования его в качестве платформы для продвижения продукции предприятий России и СНГ на рынки ЕС и западных стран.
