    Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 14% to 29.73 million tonnes in 6M’18

    In January-June 2018, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 29.73 million tonnes of cargo (+14%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 26% to 4.44 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 3% to 4.34 million tonnes, general cargo – up 10% to 6.88 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 30% to 706,700 tonnes.

    The port’s container throughput increased by 13.7% to 1.08 million TEUs.

    In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
