Pacific Fleet AS-34 underwater vehicle practises maneuvering in Kola Bay
A planned training of rescue forces involving the AS-34 manned underwater vehicle and its carrier Georgiy Titov in the Northern Fleet, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
In one of the harbors of the Kola Bay, the crew of the AS-34 tested the systems and mechanisms, worked out the diving to the depth and surface and underwater maneuvering.
During the training, the AS-34 autonomous rescue underwater vehicle practised interaction with the main command post of the rescue ship Georgiy Titov. Submariners checked communication equipment and performed commands received from the ship control station.
Both military and civilian personnel of the search and rescue operations of the Northern Fleet were involved in the training.
