Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee has conducted at the Company’s Headquarters a meeting dedicated to the implementation of the Prirazlomnoye oil field development project.
The meeting was attended by heads and specialists of Gazprom’s core business units, Sevmorneftegaz, Gazflot, Sevmashpredpriyatiye and Morneftegazproekt.
The meeting emphasized that the Action Program for Hydrocarbon Resource Exploitation in the Russian Federation Offshore up to 2030 is a key element in Gazprom’s strategy.
Establishing a new Russian gas production province based on the Arctic offshore fields and taking into operation oil fields will bolster the position of Gazprom as a multi-profile energy company.
The participants stressed that the Prirazlomnoye field project was a topical issue for Gazprom since new infrastructure being created inside the project area would be the basis for further hydrocarbon resource exploration in the Barents and Kara Seas.
The participants discussed the major construction technologies for Prirazlomnoye’s infrastructure and underscored that the project was putting the emphasis on the use of the research and production potential capacities of leading Russian companies. The major development target will be the Prirazlomnoya marine sleet-proof stationary platform being constructed by Sevmashpredpriyatiye, a ship-building leader in Russia.
Summing up the meeting results, the participants outlined measures with regard to the Prirazlomnaya platform construction in 2007 and afterwards before the Prirazlomnoye field development startup. The relevant core business units were tasked with preparing proposals on a marine transportation and technological system for Prirazlomnoye and continuing the work to obtain land in the Varandey village and construct a transshipment terminal.
