Golar LNG sells Korea Line shares
John Fredriksen-controlled gas carrier company Golar LNG says it has sold its remaining 1m Korea Line shares for a net figure of about US$95m. Taken together with the sale of the shares announced in April selling the Korea Line stake has brought in about US$173m. The company says the book gain is about US$65m
Golar announced: “As a result of this transaction and taking into account the company's good liquidity position, the board has today declared an extraordinary dividend of $0.75 per share. The record date for the dividend will be 18 June, 2007, ex dividend date will be 14 June, 2007 and the dividend will be paid on or about 3 July, 2007.”
