The performance trial of the fourth dry-cargo ship project RSD17 built for Palmali Group started
Dry-cargo ship project RSD17 “Riad Akhmedov”, built at Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard (MNP Group) for Palmali Group, has started the performance trial. Under the contract five dry-cargo ships of the project will be built at the Yard for Palmali Group. Dry-cargo ship project RSD17 DWT 6,270 mt of the restricted navigation area is designed for transportation of all types of general cargoes, including 20-ft and 40-ft international standard containers, metal, grain, lumber, coal, bulky and heavy cargoes. It is a single-deck single-screw vessel with wheelhouse and ER aft, with double bottom and double sides in cargo tanks area. Maximum length of the ship is 121.7 m, width – 16.7 m, depth – 6.20 m, draught –5.06 m. The ship has three cargo holds of total capacity 9,370 cubic meters; capacity of ballast tanks is 3,120 cubic meters, TEU 234. Endurance of the ship is 20/25 days, speed – 11.5 knots, crew is 12/14 persons. The project of the dry-cargo ships is designed by Maritime Engineering Bureau (Odessa, Ukraine). Class is КМ*ЛУ2 I А1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, meets the requirements of international conventions. MNP Group is engaged in shipbuilding and offshore units design and construction.MNP Group incorporates the leading Russian shipyards: Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (Nizhniy Novgorod) and Volgograd Shipyard, as well as Sormovskoye Mashinostroeniye (Nizhniy Novgorod), Volgograd special engineering plant, Volgo-Caspian Design Bureau (Nizhniy Novgorod) and Friede & Goldman (USA).
