Eastern Gas Program to cost 2.4 trillion rubles to 2030
The program to create an integrated system for producing and transporting gas in East Siberia and Russia's Far East with the possibility of exporting gas to China and other Asia-Pacific countries (Eastern Gas Program) will cost 2.4 trillion rubles in the period to 2030, Deputy Russian Industry and Energy Minister Andrei Dementyev said at a meeting of the Fuel and Energy Complex Commission.Dementyev said that geological exploration would cost an additional 290 billion rubles in order to achieve growth of 7 trillion cubic meters in gas reserves in East Siberia and the Far East.
