First phase of “dry port” is put into operation in Odessa
Late last week, the first phase of “dry port” was put into operation at Commercial Seaport of Odessa (Ukraine), New Region reports. The first phase of the dry container port covers the area of 2.5 hectares (the complete project is 50 hectares). According to Nikolai Pavlyuk, head of the port, the project was initiated by Euroterminal, which financed the majority of works. The share of Commercial Seaport of Odessa totaled $30 million. The terminal’s complete value is $110 million. It is designed for storage of empty containers and parking of container trucks going to the port of Odessa. The rest of the project is to be put into operation next year.
