Nikolai Asaul appointed Chairman of St. Petersburg CTTP
Nikolai Asaul has been appointed Chairman of the Committee on St. Petersburg Transport and Transit Policy, Valentina Matvienko, Governor of St. Petersburg, announced at the meeting of municipal government. Andrei Karpov, former Chairman of CTTP, has left the position of his own free will from July 1, 2007. Earlier, Nikolai Asaul held the position of the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on investments and strategic projects. Nikolai Asaul was born April 21, 1977, in St. Petersburg. Graduated from Petersburg Economic Engineering Academy as economic manager and master of management. Then held different positions in building companies of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. In 1999-2001, headed building company ASVA, then held the position of a director on operations with large and foreign investors at St. Petersburg Center on Operations with Bank Credits. From 2002 – executive director of the Union of construction companies and organizations. In 2003 – advisor to St. Petersburg vice-governor. In 2004 was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Committee on investments and strategic projects. Ph.D, professor of construction economics department of St. Petersburg State Architectural and Construction University, member of St. Petersburg Union of Sciences, International Academy of investments and construction economics, European Academy of Sciences, correspondent member of Safety Problems Academy of security, defense and order, International Management Academy. Defended doctorate thesis. Honorable builder of Russia. Winner of Russia Contest "Manager of the year-2002". Awarded with a medal "In commemoration of 300-year anniversary of St. Petersburg ".
