LUKoil's President boosts stake in share capital
LUKoil's President Vagit Alekperov has purchased 18,349,133 of the company's shares, or 2.16 percent of LUKoil's share capital, for a total of nearly $1.401bn, the Russian oil giant's official documents state according to RBC. Meanwhile, Nikolai Tsvetkov, member of the Board of Directors, has sold 16.15m shares, or 1.9 percent of the company's share capital, for $1.23bn. Both deals were completed on Monday.Therefore, Alekperov owns (directly and indirectly) a 16.899-percent stake in LUKoil, while the company's Vice President Leonid Fedun has an 8.3-percent stake.
As reported earlier, LUKoil's share capital amounts to RUR21.264m (approx. USD826m) and is comprised of 850,563,255 common shares.
