Shanghai gets NE Asia-New Zealand service
A call at Shanghai is to be added to the NE Asia-New Zealand service (Loop 1) operated by Maersk Line, NYK, MOL and COSCO, with APIL-Swire taking slots (JNZCS 1 - 7325), at the expense of Moji, which is removed. The Shanghai call occurs after the Japanese and Korean calls (Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe, Busan) and is therefore oriented towards the China export markets rather than the NZ reefer inbound market. This loop is ensured with three ships provided by Maersk, NYK, MOL. It offers fortnightly sailings, alternating with the slightly different JNZCS Loop 2 (7327 - operated by COSCO), so that weekly departures can be offered. This partnership dates back to the P&O Nedlloyd era.(Source : Correspondent / Alphaliner)
