Сheng Lie Navigation to launch two new China-India services
Сheng Lie Navigation Corporation (CNC) is in the midst of launching two new services between China and India, according to parent company CMA CGM.
The first new service for China, South Korea, Southeast Asia and India, called New India Express (NIX), focuses on the west coast of India and is operated in partnership with Korea Marine Transport Co. (KMTC).
This new fixed-day weekly service deploys five containerships, including four from KMTC with two x 1,860-TEU container ships, and one vessel from CNC.
The NIX service kicked off at the end of last month on the following port rotation of: Xingang, Qingdao, Busan, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Busan, returning to Xingang.
The second new service, the North China-South India Express Service (NCC), will be offered in partnership with Wan Hai Lines and Sea Consortium.
NCC will use four 1,700-TEU vessels calling at Qingdao, Lianyungang and Shanghai and Chennai. Transit times are expected to be 10 days from Shanghai and 12 days from North China to Chennai.
The NCC will start in September and call at the following ports: Qingdao, Lianyungang, Shanghai, Singapore, Port Kelang, Chennai, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qingdao.
"These new services are expected to meet our customers' needs, and will allow the growing container markets of China, Southeast Asia and India to be connected," said Igal Dafni, president of Cheng Lie Navigation.
