Shandong builds logistics centre for Taiwanese investors
A commercial and logistics centre for Taiwanese investors has been developed in Rushan, Shandong province.
Visiting Kuomintang Vice-President, Chiang Pin-kung, attended the opening ceremony in China, Xinhua reports.
The centre cost US$1 billion to build and is Shandong province's first logistics facility exclusively for Taiwanese investors. At present, there are 14 projects under construction inside the centre.
Mr Chiang said the co-operation between Rushan and Taiwan will benefit each other and attract more Taiwan investors to Shandong.
The Chinese Vice Mayor of Weihai, Zhao Xidian, said Rushan has vast development potential as it is located in the centre of the "golden triangle" formed by the three most developed cities of Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai in the emerging Bohai Economic Rim area.
