Throughput of the ports of Baltic states up 6.4% in H1 07, y-o-y
In January-June 2007, throughput of the ports of Baltic states grew by 6.4%, year-on-year, to 73.364 million tones, RZD-Partner reports. 42.8% of total volume falls on Latvian ports, 36.2% - ports of Estonia and 21% - ports of Lithuania. In the reported period, all ports of Baltic states increased their throughput. Throughput of Latvian ports grew by 4.6% to 31.38 million tones, Estonian ports made 26.543 million tonnes (+7.6%, year-on-year), Lithuania – 15.441 million tonnes (+8.3%). The highest throughput was that of the port of Tallinn – 21.729 million tonnes (+4.9%). Throughput of the port of Ventspils totaled 16.092 million tonnes (+10.4%), Klaipeda – 13.12 million tonnes (+11.8%).
