Container turnover of Odessa port up 32.1% in H1 07, y-o-y
In the first half of 2007, container turnover of Commercial Seaport of Odessa totaled 230,924 TEU (+32.1%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. The three leading container lines accounted for over 56% of total volume. In the first half of 2006, they covered only 48% of total volume. In 2006, the leading container lines were CMA CGM, ZIM, MSC, while this year, the leaders are the following: MSC, CSAV NORASIA and CMA CGM.
In the reported period the leaders demonstrated fast growth: MSC - +96% to 47,720 TEU; CSAV NORASIA - +79% to 426,560 TEU; CMA CGM - +19% to 38,983 TEU. The highest growth rates were those of MSCA (4.2-fold), UASC (4-fold) and KANADA MARITIME (3.5-fold), NYK LINE (5.5-fold) and HAPAG-LLOYD (2.3-fold).
