In 2007, the ports of Azov-and-Don basin increased throughput by 17%, year-on-year, to 21.36 million tonnes, Yugmedia learnt from Azov-and-Don basin department. Export of coal grew 5 times to 1.658 million tonnes, agricultural goods – grew by 22% to 5.009 million tonnes, sulfur – by 33% to 2.877 million tonnes. Transit of crudeoil was completely ceased in 2007. Besides, export of metal fell from 304,700 tonnes to 295,500 tonnes, metal – from 2.05 million tonnes to 1.96 million tonnes.
