Dry cargo fleet of Kazakhstan will number 20 units by 2020, Askar Mamin, President of National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”, told journalists.
“We see great opportunities in the development of multimodal transportation and transit potential of Kazakhstan for cargo flows between Asia and Europe,” emphasized Askar Mamin.
Apart from construction of two dry cargo vessels at Nevsky Shipyard, two ferryboats for Kazakhstan are under construction in Croatia. They will be used for transportation of trains between the ports of the Caspian Sea, the contract has already been signed, said the official.
