Most African ports have lastly seen institutional restructuring and modernize in a bid to not only modernize infrastructure but to also improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of service delivery. This has positively involved private sector involvement in the ports and significantly improved port operational performance. The reform development however does not reflect conscious environmental and sustainability improvements in the ports.
