BPS-2 Terminal (Port of Ust-Luga)
Construction of the Ust-Luga port based oil terminal is underway. The terminal will be the terminus of the main oil pipeline "Baltic Pipeline System-2" (BPS-2), located within the Complex of liquid bulk cargo.
The first tanker docked at Ust-Luga Oil Terminal to be loaded with crude oil from the BPS-2 pipeline when the journal edition had been put to bed. The terminal inauguration was slated for the end of 2011, but due to the protracted work on the construction of berthing facilities a ribbon-cutting ceremony was put off. The UL Oil Terminal Phase 1 capacity is estimated at 30 million tonnes a year.
