Ministry of Transport discounts the tariff for transportation of oil and oil product by railroad transit to the ports of the Azov-and-Black Seas Basin for those who undertake it before December 31, 2006. According to RZHD-Partner referring to Interfax, the discount is applicable for transportation of oil via Samur station to the port of Feodosiya (Ukraine) via Uspenskaya station; oil and oil products to the port of Makhachkala via Samur station; oil and oil products from Turkmenia in direction of Ukrainian ports via Uspenskaya station and in direction of the ports of the Black Sea.
Besides, Ministry of Transport introduces a discount till November 30, 2006 to the amount of 48% for transportation of heavy fuel oil from Kazakhstan via Aksarayskaya-2 station by railroad transit through direct international railroad-and-ferry link via Caucasus port (Russia) and Crimea port (Ukraine).
Such a measure has been undertaken “in order to attract cargo from alternative routes to Russia’s system of cargo transportation”, the order reads.
